Introduction

Historic records on daily life in Greece have vanished!  We need your help to retrieve valuable information about life in Ancient Greece.

History is not just a collection of facts.  Stories from the past are always seen through the eyes of each individual who experienced them.  If you’ve ever asked for opinions about a movie you want to see, you know how different people come away from a movie with very different impressions.  You would have to ask more than one person if you want to get a more complete impression of that movie.  History works the same way.  It is a slightly different story depending on who is telling it.  As a class, you will weave a colorful and complete picture of what life looked like in ancient Greece.

TASK

You will return to Ancient Greece (through the Internet and your textbook) and collect as much information as possible in order to describe what was happening during that time.  You will need to pay particular attention to how a person in Ancient Greece met his/her physical, social, and psychological needs.

Once you have all the information gathered, you will need to write an original story, report, or play and include artifacts (drawings/models/clothing) which will help future students unlock the mysteries of this ancient time.
